| On February 3rd, 2008 Loony Bear birthed 7 healthy squeaky babies. They were all kind of on the small side, but very pink, lively and FULL of milk. All babies were thriving. On tuesday evening, the 5th, I put 7 babies in the nest. Wednesday evening, the 6th, I pull out only 4 babies. I pulled EVERYTHING out of the cage and nest and found no evidcene of the other live babies, dead babies or blood. I know I was sick, but I check 3 times, kissed them all on their head, put them all in the nest, petted mommy, and then checked the fleece hat I had them in before going to bed. Something must have been wrong, and mommy "got rid" of them. Very sad, but we will move on. The remaining 4 babies have doubled in size over the last 2 days. There are 3 girls and 1 boy remaining. Most likely 1 double velveteen, 2 velveteens and 1 standard. 2 girls have red eyes. |
